| 2/16/17 Chris Kaimmer has always loved the game of soccer. As a player, however, it never loved him back. "I wasn't very good at it … I played it as though I had two left feet," quipped Kaimmer, who, despite his unrequited love, still found a way to wrap his life around the sport he feels so passionate about. The former Noble and Greenough School soccer coach accomplished that by creating Woza Soccer, a summer service program that affords high school and college soccer players the opportunity to travel the world and use their sport to build bridges and link cultures. |
| Zeiko Lewis was the 17th overall pick and the first for the Red Bulls. Lewis is the second player from Berkshire School in the past two years to be drafted into the MLS, joining his former teammate Jack Harrison who now plays for New York City FC. During his time at Berkshire School, Lewis was a three-sport varsity athlete (soccer, basketball, and track), and in his senior year was elected to be the Head Prefect and won the Male Athlete of the Year and Headmaster's Prize at graduation. On the soccer field, he led Berkshire to an undefeated season and it's first New England Class A Championship, and along the way he shattered the all-time scoring record, notching 33 goals in 21 games. He was the runner-up for the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year and earned two separate All-American honors. |

| South Kent soccer wrapped up unprecedented, undisputed back-to-back Top Drawer Soccer National Championships with a 2-0 victory in the New England Final. The Cardinals beat Brooks School in the NEPSAC Class B Championship to close out a remarkable season with an 18-1 record. The final match was played on a soaked pitch at Deerfield Academy with the temperature below 40 degrees. The weather and playing surface helped a Brooks squad that was athletic, physical, and skillful but both teams met the challenge of the difficult conditions to produce and exciting end-to-end spectacle. |
| 11/20/2016 Hebron's boys' soccer team ended their season on Sunday afternoon in dramatic fashion to finish off an undefeated campaign while they claimed their first-ever New England Championship. In the NEPSAC Class C Final, Hebron beat The Masters School (NY) 1-0 when Michael Tahiru '18 scored with nine minutes on the clock to give the Lumberjacks the title. |
| Deerfield, Mass. (November 20, 2016) –For the fourth time in five years, the boys' soccer program at Berkshire School has brought the Stewart Cup back home to Sheffield. On Sunday, the second-seeded Bears finished their season by defeating top-seeded Worcester Academy 5-1 in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A championship game at Deerfield Academy. |
| CHICAGO (February 11, 2016) — In its31st year of honoring the nation's best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, today announced Luca Levee of Milton Academy as its 2015-16 Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Soccer Player of the Year. Levee is the first Gatorade Massachusetts Boys Soccer Player of the Year to be chosen from Milton Academy. The award, which recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field, distinguishes Levee as Massachusetts's best high school boys soccer player. Now a finalist for the prestigious Gatorade National Boys Soccer Player of the Year award to be announced in May, Levee joins an elite alumni association of past state award-winners in 12 sports, including AbbyWambach (1997-98, Our Lady of Mercy, N.Y.), Derek Jeter (1991-92, Kalamazoo HS,Mich.), Candace Parker (2001-02, Naperville Central HS, Ill.), AlexiLalas (1987-88,Cranbrook HS,Mich.), Heather O'Reilly (2001-02, East Brunswick HS, N.J.) and Mark Sanchez (2004-05, Mission Viejo HS, Calif.). The 6-foot, 165-pound senior midfielder led the Mustangs to a 22-0 record and the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class A championship this past season. Levee scored 13 goals and passed for nine assists and was the MVP of theNEPSAC Class A title match. A member of the Jamaican Under-20 Men's National Team, he was a First TeamAllIndependent School League honoree and helped Milton complete the first perfect soccer campaign in the 67-year history of the ISL. Levee has maintained a B average in the classroom. A member of the Milton Academy Investment Club, he has volunteered locally as a student ambassador and as an academy tour guide. "Luca Levee was the heart and soul of a fantastic Milton Academy team," said JesseSarzana, head coach of Buckingham, Browne & Nichols School. "He worked extremely hard box to box, saw the entire field at all times and made punishing runs into the box without fear." Levee has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on an athletic scholarship at the University of Maryland beginning this fall. TheGatorade Player of the Year programannually recognizes one winner in the District of Columbia and each of the 50 states that sanction high school football, girls volleyball, boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, baseball, softball, and boys and girls track & field, and awards one National Player of the Year in each sport. The selection process is administered by the Gatorade high school sports leadership team in partnership withUSA TODAY High School Sports, which work with top sport-specific experts and a media advisory board of accomplished, veteran prep sports journalists to determine the state winners in each sport. | Coach Owen Finberg just earned theNSCAA 2015 National Coach of the Year Award in the High School Boys Private/Parochial Category. The competition for this honor spanned every private school in the USA. It was awarded by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America; the largest coaching association in the world. Finberg captured the prestigious award by once again leading the Prep Soccer team at South Kent School to theTopDrawerSoccer National Title after an undefeated season. Not only did they defeat a collection of talented teams to make it to the final but the Cardinals, with the guidance of Finberg, beat Lawrence Academy in the final match. Lawrence and South Kent have met in the finals 3 years running and with the win this year the boys broke the tie and now own a 2-1 record in championship games against what seems to be their annual rivals. | Sheffield, Mass. (January 16, 2016) – Former Berkshire School (Sheffield, Mass.) boys soccer captain Jack Harrison '15 said he was 'humbled' after being chosen as the first overall pick of the 2016 MLS SuperDraft. Harrison, who led Berkshire to three straight NEPSAC Class A championships and was named Gatorade National Boys Soccer Player of the Year as a senior, was selected by the Chicago Fire as the draft's top pick on Jan. 14 before being traded to New York City FC. |
